SULLIVAN Co., Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — A Sullivan County family built a castle, called the Overton Castle.
It started out as a project of their grandkids.
Colleen Overton said she wanted a playset for her grandchildren when they visit.
After mentioning it to her husband Robin, who is an artist, they created a masterpiece for the entire community to use.
There are two towers and each with two bunk beds and medieval artifacts inside like swords, old letters and a knight’s amour suit.
The Overtons said their favorite part is watching people from all over the community come and enjoy it.
“It is awesome. It’s just a place they can just come and bring their kids,” Colleen said.
Robin Overton said he would love to add on a dining hall that can sit up to 15 people.
