VERMILLION COUNTY, Ind. — A Terre Haute woman is facing charges in Vermillion County related to operating a vehicle while intoxicated with a toddler in the car.
Vermillion County sheriff’s deputies arrested 21-year-old Shaley L. Judy after being called to a minor vehicle crash on CR 110 E. near Universal early Tuesday morning.
Judy was unable to perform field sobriety tests; however, hospital tests later revealed she was under the influence of Xanax and marijuana.
A 17-month-old child, who was an occupant in the vehicle, was released to a grandparent.
No injuries were reported.
Judy was transported to the Vermillion County Jail for a required 12-hour sobering period, and was later released on a notice to appear in court.
