WEST TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — West Vigo High School student Adie Sittler used an opportunity for fundraising, as a time to support the Vigo County Search and Rescue team.
The fundraiser was part of a project for West Vigo High School’s Family, Career and Community Leaders of America.
Sittler said she’s been around K9’s for most of her life and saw her project as a chance to show others what she’s seen.
The director of Vigo County Search and Rescue said it’s meaningful to see a new generation taking interest.
“A lot of what we do is behind the scenes. The general public doesn’t normally see us. We work with law enforcement and fire. So to have somebody like Adie to help us out with this program is amazing,” said Troy Ramsey.
All proceeds from the fundraiser will go directly to the Vigo County Search and Rescue team.
