SULLIVAN, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — A Sullivan woman was sent to the hospital for a complaint of “pain throughout her entire body” following a single-vehicle crash Friday morning.
Around 10:30 a.m., Indiana State Police and the Sullivan County Sheriff’s Department responded to the wreck on Old US 41 near County Road 100 East.
A preliminary crash investigation revealed Rachel R. Hunt, 25, was driving a passenger vehicle northbound on US 41 when she lost control of the vehicle. She overcorrected, causing her vehicle to roll three times and come to rest on its top in a field almost 100 years from the road.
Hunt was able to climb out of the back window of her vehicle as she waited for medical personnel to arrive. She was transported to Terre Haute Regional Hospital for a complaint of pain throughout her entire body.
Hunt was cited for speeding, no seatbelt and a learner’s permit violation.
