SULLIVAN COUNTY, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — A traffic stop led to the arrest of two men after a Sheriff’s Office K-9 alerted officers to the presence of narcotics.
According to the Sullivan County Sheriff Jason Bobbitt, the traffic stop was initiated due to “multiple traffic infractions,” at 11 p.m. on Wednesday near the intersection of Silver and Main Streets in Sullivan.
Sheriff’s K-9 “Qlark” detected drugs in the vehicle leading to a probable cause search of the vehicle. Deputies reported finding meth and paraphernalia.
As a result of the search, Ryan Stevens of Sullivan, and David Haviland of Oaktown were arrested.
Stevens faces preliminary charges of possession of methamphetamine and dealing a controlled substance, while Haviland was arrested for the charges of possession of methamphetamine and paraphernalia.
