The State of Illinois still can’t decide what to do about its minimum wage.
After all, the federal government wants an increase to $10.10 an hour.
Some lawmakers want to see what the people think, so it looks like we may have a non-binding referendum on the November ballot.
The question is whether or not the minimum wage should raise to $10/hour for everyone over 18 yrs of age.
Already this year seven other states have raised their minimum wages, with Hawaii, Maryland, and Connecticut meeting the $10 mark.
Of course you always have your over-achievers; Vermont has raised theirs to $10.50/hour.
