The City of Terre Haute has agreed to pay about half of their promised contribution toward the Vigo County Central Dispatch.
That amounts to about $300,000.
The city had refused to pay because officials thought that city residents were being double taxed as both residents of the city and county.
In the interim the city and county attorney have agreed to seek an opinion from the department of local government and finance.
Previously the same question existed in Kokomo and the city was able to stop paying.
