Two carnival workers arrested by Indiana State Police have a court date set.
Police say that 21 year old Steven Toth Jr. and passenger 43 year old Joel Baldwin were arrested on charges of animal neglect after two mini horses were discovered in the trailer they were towing from Georgia to Chicago.
Indiana State Police say that they horses were in poor health and had no food or water and no fresh air in the trailer.
The horses were discovered as a part of a routine traffic stop.
The two men who work for Modern Midways Carnival of Miami, Florida have bonded out of jail and are due back in court June 5th. The animals have been placed with a Sullivan County family who will take care of them until the court decides who gets custody.
