Rising Australian band 5 Seconds of Summer is the latest act to join the lineup of the 2014 Billboard Music Awards, which will air on ABC later this month.

The band joins already-announced performers Imagine Dragons , Jason Derulo , Florida Georgia Line , John Legend , and OneRepublic on the show.  It'll also mark 5 Seconds to Summer's debut performance on American broadcast TV.  The band announced the big news with an Instagram video they shot from the stage of their concert in Adelaide, writing, "T his is seriously incredible, and we only get to do this because of you (: SO EXCITED."

The quartet, whose song "She Looks So Perfect" is shooting up the chart, is currently on a headlining tour Down Under.  As they did last year, 5 Seconds of Summer will open for One Direction on the European and North American leg of their Where We Are tour this summer and fall.

Imagine Dragons and Lorde lead all nominees for the 2014 Billboard Music Awards, with 12 each.  The award show airs Sunday, May 18 starting at 8 p.m. on ABC.
