It is election season and many campaigns for offices such as Sheriff, Judge and other offices are heating up all across the valley.
In Greene County you will see lots of signs but they aren’t for people running for office.
They are for a referendum on the ballot would raise property taxes to help fund White River Valley Schools which has seen funding drop by about $2 million over the past five years.
The measure asks for an increase of up to $0.41 on $100 of assessed evaluation.
There are those that are against the idea and say that they schools need a more long term solution other than raising taxes.
