Katy, Taylor, Bruno Up for Saturday's Kids' Choice Awards, American Authors & Aloe Blacc to Perform

Katy Perry , Taylor Swift , Bruno Mars , One Direction and Maroon 5 are among the stars nominated in the music categories for the 2014 Nickelodeon Kids' Choice Awards, which will be handed out this Saturday at the University of Southern California's Galen Center.  Mark Wahlberg will host the telecast, which features kid-selected favorites in music, TV, film and more.

Katy will be competing against Taylor and Lady Gaga , among others, in the category of Favorite Female Singer, while her song "Roar" will battle it out with hits by Miley Cyrus, One Direction and Taylor Swift in the Favorite Song Category.  Katy is also nominated for Favorite Voice from an Animated Movie, for her role in Smurfs 2.

Bruno, Justin Timberlake and Pharrell Williams are among the nominees for Favorite Male Singer. Maroon 5 is up for Favorite Music Group; their competition includes OneRepublic and One Direction.  American Idol and The Voice will compete in the Favorite Reality Show category.

American Authors and Aloe Blacc -- two artists currently riding high with the hit singles -- will entertain the crowd at the event.
