The country may finally be thawing out from a long, hard winter, but at the top of the Billboard charts, things are still Frozen .
The hit Disney movie soundtrack, featuring the ubiquitous hit "Let It Go," has returned to the #1 spot for a sixth non-consecutive week. Since the Billboard chart switched in 1991 to the SoundScan method of tracking sales, there have only been four soundtracks to spend six or more weeks at the top. The last disc to spend more time at #1 was The Lion King soundtrack, which was #1 for 10 weeks in 1994 and 1995.
Frozen is now also the first album to sell a million copies in 2014 -- 1.1 million, to be exact. Since its release last November, it's sold 1.4 copies.
Elsewhere on the chart, Aloe Blacc , the "Wake Me Up" singer currently advising Team Adam on The Voice , sees his new album, Lift Your Spirit , debut at #4. Considering his previous full-length album, which came out in 2010, failed to chart at all, that's pretty impressive.
Lorde's debut album, Pure Heroine, celebrates sixth months on the chart this week. First released in September, the disc is currently #8.
