Indianapolis Colts owner Jim Irasy was arrested early Monday morning in Carmel for allegedly driving drunk.
Police say that the 54 year old Irsay failed several roadside field sobriety tests before he was arrested.
Police also said that drugs found in Irsay’s vehicle were not associated with any prescription bottles found inside.
Irsay was released from the Hamilton County Jail after posting bond.
Irsay was quoted as saying in October 2013 on twitter that he doesn’t drink and hadn’t in over 15 years.
He has admitted a past dependence on painkillers after several orthopedic operations.
Irsay is estimated to be worth nearly $2 billion dollars and became the Colts owner in 1997 after the death of his father.
Irsay’s wife of 33 years filed for divorce in November.
