At last night’s Terre Haute City Council meeting the council decided not to decide to two major issues facing it.
The council wanted to hire its own budget consultant for 2014 as it did last year.
They mayor threatened to veto that idea saying that the city didn’t have the $20,000 for it.
He also if the idea was approved he wanted the council to take the money from their own budget and not the city controller.
The two sides agreed to try to work out a deal and maybe find another source of funding by next month’s meeting.
The council also decided not to decide on an ordinance that would require property owners to remove any graffiti within 30 days or face a possible fine.
The council will discuss and decide by next month how much the fine should be and other details of the ordinance.
