Justin Bieber's trial for driving under the influence, resisting arrest and driving without a valid license will take place in Miami on May 5, according to the Miami Herald .

Justin has pleaded not guilty to the charges, and prosecutors say that no plea offer has been made to the singer.  His initial trial date of March 3 was postponed because a judge had to rule on whether police video footage of the singer on the night he was arrested should be made public.  The video was eventually released, though in censored form, with black bars covering what allegedly were images of Justin's private parts.

Justin was arrested January 23 in Miami Beach after police accused him of drag racing at high speed.  While his blood alcohol levels were below the limit for underage drivers, other tests showed that the singer had marijuana and a prescription drug in his system.  The night of his arrest, Justin admitted to smoking weed and ingesting the drug.

According to the Herald, Bieber's attorney, Roy Black , criticized the paparazzi culture that has lead to Justin being a magnet for public scrutiny. “There is no protection for someone like Justin,” the attorney told reporters.
