The Indiana Housing and Community Development Authority has released statewide results on homelessness in Indiana.
The report shows a two percent decrease in overall homelessness from last year.
As of January 29th this year there were a total of 5,971 persons without a place to call home.
This report shows that there has been a reduction of about 6% in those that are homeless since 2010, and a 12% decrease from 2013.
Still it is hard to tell whether there is any progress being made locally as the Lighthouse Mission reports an increase of homeless individuals needing the help of their shelter.
