The Indiana State Board of Accounts has announced that they will conduct examination of the Terre Haute Redevelopment Commission. The SBA along with representatives of the Redevelopment Commission, City Administration and City Council took part in a private meeting Tuesday among.
Everyone who participated had to sign a confidentiality agreement so that nothing will be released to the public until the investigation is complete.
The State Board will be looking at record keeping and disbursements of the Redevelopment Commission and how they relate to the new law passed in 2014 that states how those activities should be handled.
Redevelopment Executive Director Cliff Lambert, has publicly questioned the Bennett administration’s transferring of millions of dollars from TIF bank accounts and has filed a formal complaint about the transfers.
