A farming accident has claimed the life of a Greencastle teen.
Monday afternoon 17 year old Riley Sutherlin, was moving dirt in a backhoe on his family farm when the machine overturned, throwing Sutherlin from his seat and trapping him under the cab.
He and other family members were working to install grain bins on their farm.
Family members used other equipment to remove the backhoe and then performed CPR before emergency crews could arrive.
Sutherlin was pronounced dead at the scene.
He would have started his senior year Greencastle High School this fall.
