State lawmakers are back at the capitol in Indianapolis today for “technical corrections day”.
This is the day where lawmakers go back and try to fix their mistakes that were made during the past legislative session.
The goal is to fix problems before they take affect on July 1st.
One measure that needs to be fixed is clarification of the different levels of felonies for a child sex offense.
Another fix would allow police officers to arrest a person accused of theft or shoplifting. Another problem that will be fixed is a clarification on the amount of tax credits available for natural gas vehicles.
