The Vigo County Sheriff’s Department has identified the man found dead in the Wabash River over a week ago and now they are asking for help from residences of Terre Haute as well as businesses in connection to the death investigation.
50 year old Michael Pollack was staying at the ‘Timothy’s House’ shelter for men on South Gilbert Avenue here in Terre Haute.
Pollack was last seen leaving the Octapharma Plasma Center on Walnut Street on June 2.
Anyone who had seen or had contact with Pollack in recent weeks should contact the sheriff’s office.
Area businesses are being asked to review security video to see if Pollack might have been spoted.
Police aren’t yet saying how Pollack died but do indicate that it was a violent death.
Pollack was originally from the Chicago area and has recently lived in Effingham, Illinois before coming to Terre Haute.
