The Sycamores Track and Field program have been in competition at the NCAA Championships in Eugene, Oregon this week.
Senior Greggmar Swift advanced to the finals of the 110 meter hurdles to highlight day two of the NCAA Outdoor Championships at Hayward Field. He will rank fifth overall going into the final on Saturday. Sophomore Adarius Washington placed fifth in his heat in a time of 14.14 seconds to wrap up his great sophomore season with an 18th place finish.
Senior Mary Theisen took 16th place overall in the discus throw with a toss of 161’8” to earn second team All-American honors. Sophomore Katie Wise wrapped up a great 2014 season in the sprints with a 15th place finish in the 200 meter dash in a time of 23.64 seconds. She will earn second team All-American honors with that performance.
Sophomore John Mascari placed 11th in the 10,000 meter run in a time of 29:30.76.
Senior Max Tuttle ended his Sycamore career by placing 19th place in the 400 meter hurdles in a time of 51.81 seconds and the women’s 4 x 100 meter relay were unable to finish their semi-final race, but return all four athletes on the qualifying team for next season.
