A delay in a Terre Haute murder trial.
The trial of 40 year old Enzert G. Lewis was supposed s to start Monday but public defenders James Organ and Matthew Daley filed a motion to withdraw from the case.
The reason is that Organ says that he recently found an “unresolvable conflict of interest under the Indiana Rules of Professional Conduct.”
In a closed hearing Judge David Bolk agreed to release the attorneys and start a search for new council.
Lewis was arrested on November 6, 2012, and charged with murder in the death of his estranged wife, Allyson Elmi Lewis.
Her body was found along Hyde Road in rural eastern Vigo County on November 3rd, 2012. The information filed in court alleges that Lewis killed his wife on Oct. 10, 2012.
