An update on a weekend fatal accident in northern Vigo County.
21 year old Kyle Pendergast was the driver of a Hummer SUV that crashed in a field.
7 people were in the vehicle.
19 year old Alyssa Hogue was ejected and was pinned under the truck after it rolled twice.
She was pronounced dead at the scene.
No one else was seriously hurt.
Pendergast had a blood alcohol level of .108% and he tested positive for marijuana.
He told investigators that someone’s foot became stuck in the steering wheel causing the wreck but other passengers told police that wasn’t what happened.
Pendergast will be in court Wednesday where he will be formally charged.
He’s being held in the Vigo County Jail on a $100,000 cash-only bond.
