During the North American leg of her PRISMATIC U.S. tour, Katy Perry has teamed with Staples to help make teachers' lives easier.  Now, she's debuted a PSA explaining the initiative, which is called "Make Roar Happen."

Staples, which is sponsoring Katy's tour, has pledged to donate $1 million do DonorsChoose.org, a charity that helps fund classroom projects for teachers.  Many teachers don't have the funding they need to purchase supplies and materials for their classrooms, so they end up using their own money instead.  DonorsChoose.org provides teachers with the cash so they don't have to do that.

In the PSA, Katy is shown standing on a stage while various instruments disappear around her.  "Imagine going onstage without any guitars, or keyboards, drums, or a microphone and being expected to roar," she says.  "Tough, right? It’s the same with our teachers who are using their own money so students can learn."

She then talks about DonorsChoose.com, and Staples' donation.  "Join us," she adds. "Let's make Roar happen!"

If you'd rather watch a video that focuses on Katy's music, she's got you covered there, too.  She's just debuted a retro-inspired lyric video for her song "This Is How We Do," and she writes on Instagram , " To learn the lyrics to my new song, THIS IS HOW WE DO, simply watch the graphically enhanced word by word recount of this certified club banger, and you too will know all the words! The REAL words! Not just what you thought I said, but what I actually said!"

"Impress your friends, and keep your karaoke game on point," she adds. "Bask in the neon glow and airbrushed aura of this lyric video. It's guaranteed to keep your party trill."  In case you're unfamiliar, "trill" is a slang term that's combination of the words "true" and "real," and it's commonly used in hip-hop.
