Indiana Governor Mike Pence has announced the five Indiana counties for the pre-K pilot program to help prepare low-income four-year-old for success in school.
None of the counties are in the Wabash Valley.
They are Allen, Jackson, Lake, Marion and Vanderburgh.
The five counties were selected by Family and Social Services Administration with the assistance of a group of objective evaluators representing academia, nonprofit and business interests.
The program should launch in early 2015.
