An accident Tuesday afternoon in the westbound lanes of I-70.
It happened near mile marker 41 which is near the US 231 interchange.
Indiana State Police and Putnam County emergency agencies say that a pickup truck was eastbound on I-70 towing another pickup when the right front wheel of the vehicle being towed broke lose causing the accident.
The towing vehicle rolled three times into the median.
The truck was driven by 34 year old Candelario Ojeda Jr.
There were a total of six people in the truck.
35 year old Marisela Reyes was ejected into the west bound lanes.
She was flown to an Indianapolis Hospital with sever injuries.
The other five including the driver were treated at area hospitals for various injuries.
Police say that the investigation was complicated by a language barrier.
