In the South Vermillion Schools, Central Elementary will use a new modified balanced calendar for this school year.
Regular long breaks will be a little shorter and short breaks will be a little longer.
This is a schedule not unlike what many other schools in the country are trying.
The hope is that children will remember a little more of what they are learning and that the education process is more constant.
