If you can’t bear the thought of going to the Indiana State Fair without being able to buy a beer then you are in luck this year.
For the first time in nearly 70 years the Indiana State Fair will be serving alcohol.
About 40 Indiana craft brewers and wineries will be setting up shop in the new wine and beer garden inside the fairgrounds’ Grand Hall.
Visitors to the beer garden will receive a wristband limiting them to three sample-size servings of beer or wine.
Alcohol won’t be allowed to leave the Grand Hall.
The General Assembly this year lifted a longstanding ban on alcohol at the fair and organizers began accepting applications last month.
