Adam Levine Says Upcoming Wedding "Won't Be Typical"

Adam Levine and his fiancee, Victoria's Secret model Behati Prinsloo, are rumored to be tying the knot July 19 in Mexico.  While getting married in a vacation destination like Mexico is pretty run-of-the-mill these days, Adam says the rest of the wedding will be out of the ordinary.

Discussing how much he and Behati were involved in the actual wedding planning in the new issue of People magazine, Adam says, "We're doing our thing...we're involved in that we're doing what we want to do, when we want to do it, with people we want to do it with. Can you imagine me as a planner?"

"I'm probably doing more than you think and less than you think as well," he adds.  "We're pretty detached from the process. We just want to do it.  It won't be typical, I can tell you that."

Asked if there's anything still left on his "bachelor bucket list" before he puts on the old ball and chain, Adam says, "No, I think I've probably had enough bachelor parties for all the bachelors in Southern California.  In my lifetime, I've done it right. I've had plenty of fun."

However, he won't go as far as to say that he's gotten all the debauchery out of his system.

"You never get anything out of your system," he tells People . "Because then you wouldn't have a system. You're always fighting something."

Still, he says he's ready to settle down, whatever that might mean in his particular universe.  "I definitely feel like I'm sitting in the chair I'm supposed to be sitting in right now," he says.  It's unclear if by using that metaphor, he was joking about that big red chair he spins around in on The Voice. "It all feels very natural," he adds.

However, he won't reveal to People how he knew Behati was "the one."

"Privacy is really important to me. My relationship with Behati is mine. It's not for anybody else," he insists.
