The Vigo County Election Board approved more changes to the way residents in Vigo County will vote and how those votes will be counted.
The Board approved making Vigo County a central count county.
It means that all absentee ballots will be counted at election headquarters instead of being tallied at the voter’s precinct
Starting this May there really won’t be precincts anymore as the county moves to Vote Centers.
There really was no choice as state law requires the move to central voting is we use vote centers.
Severn vote centers will be open for one week prior to the election and then on Election Day 18 vote centers open for 12 hours.
