The man accused in the killing of a Purdue student on campus made an initial court appearance Thursday.
23 year old Cody Cousins was in Tippecanoe County Court where he was officially charged with murder and then pleaded not guilty.
Police say that Cousins shot and stabbed 21-year-old Andrew Boldt, in the Electrical Engineering Building on the Purdue Campus.
A possible motive is not being discussed by police.
Police say that Cousins was found sitting on the ground with his hands behind his head outside the building with blood on his hands.
Cousins will stand trial in April.
If he is convicted he could be sentenced to 65 years in prison.
