There's still no firm release date for Colbie Caillat's next album, but we have her single and new video for "Hold On" to tide us over. Colbie's never been shy about working with family members -- her dad, Grammy-winning engineer and producer Ken Caillat , has worked on several of her albums -- and it turns out the new video was also a family affair.
For the video, Colbie tells ABC News Radio, "I had this vision: I wanted it to be at night time, and I wanted dancers, and I had my cousin, who's a beautiful choreographer and dancer, she choreographed the whole video."
"Her and seven dancers are in it," Colbie adds, referring to her cousin. "And they're basically, like, an energy off of me. So, any move that they make, it kind of resembles what I'm doing or I'm resembling what they're doing."
Colbie says she sketched out practically every scene in the atmospheric video ahead of time and she was thrilled that she was able to see it all realized in the end product.
"I wanted it to be bright moonlight -- so we have green screen behind us with this humongous moon and [a] forest -- walking through the forest -- and they all brought my vision to life," she says of the team behind the clip.
Colbie has yet to announce any tour dates for 2014, but as previously reported, she's performing February 5 in Brooklyn, NY, as part of Amnesty International's "Bringing Human Rights Home" concert, along with The Fray , Imagine Dragons and other acts, including one of Colbie's personal idols, R&B star Lauryn Hill .
