Nearly 70 dogs were rescued from a Putnam County home after authorities found them living in horrible conditions.
The Putnam County Sheriff's Department raided what they are calling a puppy mill situation at 6530 E. CR 900 North, which is west of New Maysville.
All of animals seized were either Dachshunds or Chihuahuas.
They dogs had no access to water, were extremely thin and some could not walk due to overgrown toenails and raw pads from walking on urine and feces.
Some dogs have growths that appear to be tumors and others are hairless, apparently with mange.
Possible charges against the owner could be filed by the Putnam County Prosecutor
