Velveeta, which is a well known processed cheese that is manufactured at the Kraft Foods plant in Champaign, seems to be in short supply.
Now just in time for the football playoffs, there is a shortage.
Media reports of a potential Velveeta shortage went viral after Advertising Age first reported it on Tuesday.
A Kraft spokesperson says that there are a number of factors behind a shortage of Velveeta at a few east coast supermarkets, mainly heavy demand during holidays and football season.
Kraft says that there will be plenty in time for the games.
Velveeta first went on the market in 1908 and was acquired by Kraft in the 1920s.
