It was a good evening for both the Rose-Hulman Men’s and Women’s Basketball teams on Wednesday.  At Hulbert Arena, the Rose-Hulman Men took advantage of a 39-1 advantage in bench scoring to capture the John Mutchner Cup with a 76-64 victory over Earlham.  Sophomore Matt Loesing scored a career high 16 points while Tyler Duffy and Julian Strickland chipped in with 12 points apiece.  The Engineers have now won 6 in a row to improve to 9-3 overall and 4-1 in conference.

The Rose-Hulman Women’s team picked up a big conference road win topping Earlham 62-57.  The Engineers took control of the contest thanks to a 20-8 run late in the second half.  Rose-Hulman was led by Senior Kelsey Ploof who pulled down 15 rebounds and scored a career high 17 points.  The Engineers move to 5-7 overall and 3-2 in the Heartland Conference.
