Indiana Schools won’t have to make up some of the missed snow days.
Indiana law requires 180 days of instructional time in the class room.
Normally when schools miss a day for snow or cold they have to make up that time at the end of the year.
Indiana State School Superintendent Glenda Ritz told districts that at least Monday and Tuesday won’t need to be made up.
Schools will have to apply for a waiver for the missed school.
The state will determine whether they meet the criteria for the State of Emergency.
Other days will be handled on a case by case basis.
