Two children were struck by a school bus Thursday morning in Bartholomew County.
The crash happened near Taylorsville, just south of where Interstate 65 and US 31 cross.
Police say one child, a 9-year-old girl, was taken by medical helicopter to Riley Hospital for Children at IU Health. A second child, a 6-year-old boy, was taken by ambulance to Columbus Regional Hospital. A family member said the children are siblings.
The girl suffered leg injuries while the boy suffered minor scratches and bruises.
Investigators say it appears the two children ran out in front of the bus and were trying to catch it before it left.
Their investigation is continuing.
