TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — Having trouble filling out the new FAFSA forms?
While there have been a number of delays and issues regarding the rollout of what was intended to be a simplified version, a local college wants to help.
Ivy Tech in both Terre Haute and Greencastle will be hosting multiple Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) form workshops.
“We understand that the FAFSA process can be overwhelming for many students, and our goal is to make it as accessible and straightforward as possible,” Julie Wonderlin, director of financial aid at Ivy Tech Terre Haute said. “These workshops are designed to provide personalized support and ensure that every student understands their financial options when pursuing higher education, including the use of grants and loans.”
Attendees are asked to bring the following information;
- Social Security number
- 2022 Federal Tax Return documents
- W-2 Forms
- Other income/benefit information
The release notes that anyone who is required to provide information on the FAFSA form will need a StudentAid.gov account before accessing and completing their section of the online form.
Those creating StudentAid.gov accounts must be careful to enter their name and Social Security number exactly as it appears on their Social Security card.
