If you look at buying a house, should it be disclosed if there was once a meth lab in the home.
Under a proposal, if there was a meth lab in the house it would have to be listed on a website.
Properties could be taken off the list 90 days after they are cleaned and declared habitable. State police say about 1,800 meth labs were found across Indiana last year.
The Indiana Department of Environmental Management reports contaminated homes pose health hazards, particularly for children. A Senate committee vote is expected next week.
The proposal earlier passed the Indiana House unanimously.
