This past Friday the long awaited and much overdue announcement came of Bobby “Slick” Leonard been selected for induction into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame. Leonard becomes the third consecutive Pacer to enter the Hall via the ABA Committee with Roger Brown entering in 2013 and Mel Daniels in 2012. The Terre Haute native, was an All-American at Indiana University, where he hit the winning foul shot in the NCAA tournament championship game in 1953 in his junior season and later coached the Pacers to three ABA titles after a 7 year NBA playing career.
