Around 4:30 Friday afternoon, Indiana State Police and Vigo County emergencies responded to a two vehicle crash on US 41 just north of State Road 246. The crash was in the southbound lanes and involved a Vigo County School Corporation bus and an SUV. Preliminary investigation revealed a 2010 International school bus owned by the Vigo County School Corporation and driven by 37-year-old Terri D. Price of Terre Haute, IN., was in the passing lane approaching a left turn onto SR 246. A 2002 Hyundai SUV driven by 18-year-old Pamela Thompson of Shelburn, IN., was in the driving lane, suddenly lost control and spun into the bus. Price was transported to Terre Haute Regional Hospital for complaint of pain. Thompson was treated at the scene and released. The four students on the bus were examined at the scene, found to have no significant injuries and released under the supervision of Vigo County School Superintendant Danny Tanoos. No citations were issued.
