A Wednesday morning head on crash in Parke County.
It happened just after 7 AM on US 41 near Villarosa Road in southern Parke County.
Police say that an SUV driven by 25-year-old Richard L. Sanders III of Terre Haute was northbound when he lost control on “black ice” and slid into the southbound lane hitting a car driven by 39-year-old Sharon E. Whitford of Rosedale.
Sanders was transported to Union Hospital of Clinton for chest pain and lacerations and he was cited for driving with no valid license and no insurance.
Whitford was transported to Union Hospital of Clinton for pain in the left ankle and chest.
