You could soon be driving down the road and see a field of what might look like pot.
The state Senate unanimously approved a bill to legalize industrial hemp Monday.
Hemp is marijuana's non-intoxicating cousin,
Many products made from hemp, such as oils and clothing, are legal even though federal law makes it illegal to grow.
The bill needs approval from the House and governor before becoming law.
Indiana would need to apply for a waiver to allow hemp growing even if the bill is passed.
