A car – semi truck accident just after noon Sunday on I-70 in Putnam County.
Indiana State Police say that it happened in the east-bound lanes near the 38 mile marker.
Officers say that it was raining when the driver of a car from Arlington, Texas lost control and slid across the grassy median into the eastbound lanes.
The car struck the rear trailer tandem axles of an eastbound semi-truck.
The driver of the car had to be taken to the hospital to be treated for facial lacerations and leg injuries.
The interstate was closed for about 90 minutes while the accident was cleaned up.
