The Script has premiered the video for their single, "Superheroes," online.
The song is the lead single from their forthcoming album, No Sound Without Silence , set for release on September 15.
The clip was shot in Johannesburg, South Africa, by Vaughan Arnell . Arnell's credits include work with Robbie Williams , Dead or Alive , The Spice Girls and One Direction .
The video features images of ordinary citizens -- including garbage men and a father picking up his child at the end of a day's work -- in the city, along with the band, including Danny O'Donoghue , Mark Sheehan and Glen Power .
The lyrics to the song are inspirational, as lead singer Danny sings, "“When you’ve been fighting for it all your life / You’ve been struggling to make things right / That’s how a superhero learns to fly."
The Script is currently touring the U.S. with OneRepublic
The single for "Superheroes," which will be released on August 31, is available for pre-order online. Also available for pre-order is No Sound Without Silence, at the usual digital retailers and on the group's website .
