A new low income housing project is ahead of schedule.
The Terre Haute Housing Authority is building Warren Village, incorporates the former Warren Elementary school and a large new addition and is located on North 25th street.
The 109-unit apartment complex is costing $11 million is expected to be completed by the end of July but residents wont be able to start moving in for about 90 days while required inspections are completed.
The new residents will come mainly from the Deming Center in downtown.
The Housing Authority has already agreed to sell the Deming Center building to Core Redevelopment of Indianapolis.
