Directors of the local YMCA are changing the organizations name to better reflect its new service.
The YMCA Association Board of Directors recently voted to change the name from its original YMCA of Clay County to the YMCAs of the Wabash Valley, Inc.
The only thing that is changing is the name, everything else will stay the same.
The Vigo County branch was added to the Clay County organization in 2012.
Unlike previous organizations, the Clay County Y has made a very successful go of the Terre Haute Y.
The Terre Haute Y is covering its own expenses and is able to fund its own programs, services and maintenance.
