Junior college All-American point guard Alexis Newbolt signed a letter of intent to play with Indiana State Women’s Basketball on Wednesday. Newbolt will have two years of eligibility with the Sycamores beginning in 2014-15.
The Cincinnati, Ohio native comes to ISU from Moberly (Mo.) Area Community College (MACC) where she played and started in 27 games last season, leading the Greyhounds to a 21-7 overall record and 7-3 mark in Region 16 play. Newbolt was named a third team NJCAA All-American, WBCA NJCAA All-American honorable mention and was also an All-Region 16 honoree.
Indiana State head basketball coach Greg Lansing announced on Wednesday that Grant Prusator has signed a national letter of intent and will be on the roster for the next three seasons, including the upcoming 2014-15 campaign.
The 6’1 Guard comes to the Sycamores from Highland Community College where he averaged 13 points per game and hit 43.9 percent of his shots from the field, including a mark of 42.7 percent from 3-point range. He tallied an 89 percent mark from the charity stripe and added 2.5 rebounds as well as 1.6 assists per game.
