If you have unwanted or old medications that need to be disposed of here is your chance.
Indiana residents will be able to dispose of those meds April 26th at state police posts and other locations across the state.
The federal Drug Enforcement Administration leads the “Prescription Drug Take Back” initiative that seeks to prevent prescription drug abuse and theft.
Last spring, Indiana residents turned in more than 1,875 pounds of unused prescription drugs.
The program won’t accept any kind of needles but medications in liquid and pill forms will be taken.
