A Putnam County reserve deputy has been arrested by federal officers for allegedly lying to a federal grand jury.
Federal Prosecutors say that Andrew Fenwick made statements to the grand jury investigating the case against Terry “TJ” Smith that were lies.
Fenwick faces up to 15 years in federal prison and a fine of up to $750,000 if he's convicted.
Smith faces federal charges in a police brutality case.
Andrew Fenwick is the son of current Putnam County Sheriff Steve Fenwick.
